Discovering the Serene Isolation of Mount Fujing’s Buddhist Temple in China

With its peak towering over 100 meters above the surrounding terrain, Mount Fanjing presents a breathtaking challenge to visitors who seek to scale its heights. The ascent to the summit involves a grueling climb of almost 9,000 steps. Upon reaching the pinnacle, one is rewarded with the sight of two magnificent Buddhist temples—the Temple of the Buddha and the Temple of Maitreya—connected by a quaint footbridge. These awe-inspiring structures serve as a testament to the ancient Buddhist heritage that pervades the region.

Perched atop the New Golden Summit, which stands at a staggering 2570 meters (8,430 feet) above sea level, the Temple of the Buddha and Maitreya Temple offer a stunning vista of the surrounding landscape. Located in Tongren, Guizhou province, southeastern China, these magnificent temples serve as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region.
