Instinctually, geese are afraid of wolves and foxes and geese see dogs as similar creatures. So naturally, they don’t get along. Most geese are friendly and may bond with you as much as a dog will and their behavior is entertaining to watch.

Your pet might have never lashed out or gotten aggressive, but it doesn’t mean that they will act in the same manner when a new member is introduced to the family. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the behavior of both the pets and stay alert for signs of aggression like dogs baring teeth, growling and barking, etc. in order to avoid conflicts between both the pets.

Geese can be bossy and territorial. It is also important to never underestimate a pet, as each pet will assume that it is your only pet and your favorite pet. Both the animals will come to you and they will require equal attention and if one senses that you are not paying enough attention to it compared to the other, it will react negatively and will not like it.
