There’s nothing better than waking up on the morning of a camping trip, with fresh air coming into the tent, the sun rising and the local wildlife stirring around you.
That is of course, unless you’re camping in Botswana and the wildlife happens to be two fully grown lions at the front door of your tent, as Francie Francisca Lubbe recently found out.
After a night of rain in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, the lions decided to take their morning drink from the front door of Lubbe’s tent.
Instead of freaking out as most of us would do, Lubbe was not phased by the unexpected guests.
Instead of hiding in the back of tent, filmed the whole thing on her phone and the opened the tent to get some clearer photos of the animals!
Speaking about the experience afterwards Lubbe said that instead of a problem, she saw it as a privilege.
